Analisis Mandat Budaya (Kejadian 1:28) dalam Merespons Tren Pasangan Kristen yang Memilih Tidak Memiliki Anak

Fenomena childfree—keputusan sadar pasangan suami istri untuk tidak memiliki anak—telah menjadi tren global yang kini merambah ke dalam komunitas Kristen di Indonesia. Pilihan ini sering kali didasari oleh alasan ekonomi, kecemasan ekologis, atau keinginan untuk mengejar aktualisasi diri. Namun, tren ini memicu perdebatan teologis serius mengenai hakikat pernikahan Kristen. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi fenomena childfree melalui lensa teologi biblika, khususnya analisis mandat budaya dalam Kejadian 1:28. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dan pendekatan eksegesis gramatikal-historis, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa memiliki anak bukan sekadar opsi biologis, melainkan partisipasi dalam karya penciptaan Allah (prokreasi). Meskipun Alkitab tidak menjadikan prokreasi sebagai satu-satunya tujuan pernikahan, penolakan terhadap keturunan yang didasari oleh motif egoisme atau ketakutan akan masa depan merupakan bentuk penyimpangan dari desain Allah. Artikel ini menawarkan perspektif etis bahwa "kesuburan" (fruitfulness) harus dipahami secara holistik, namun menolak childfree sebagai gaya hidup normatif bagi orang percaya.
